Air Force Association (AFA)

AFA is an independent, nonprofit organization promoting public understanding of air and space power.  AFA is nearly 140,000 men and women who believe strongly enough in national defense, and the importance of air power to that defense, to want to support their beliefs in an organized way. Founded in 1946 by former members of the World War II Army Air Forces, it has grown steadily in size, influence, prestige, and ways to serve its membership. AFA headquarters, in Arlington, Virginia, includes a professional staff of some eighty persons.  The objectives of the Association, set forth in AFA’s Constitution, are to provide an organization through which free people may unite to:

• Advocate military preparedness of the United States and its allies adequate to maintain the security of the United States and the free world

• Address the defense responsibilities of our nation imposed by the dramatic advance of aerospace technology

• Educate the members and the public at large in what that technology can contribute to the security of free people and the betterment of mankind

InfraGard

InfraGard is an information sharing and analysis effort serving the interests and combining the knowledge base of a wide range of members. At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector. InfraGard is an association of businesses, academic institutions, state and local law enforcement agencies, and other participants dedicated to sharing information and intelligence to prevent hostile acts against the United States. InfraGard Chapters are geographically linked with FBI Field Office territories.

National Classification Management Society (NCMS)

NCMS was founded in 1964 by a government and industry security classification managers and administrators who recognized the importance of establishing a society, national in scope, to advance the practice of Classification Management as a profession.  Today, the Society has over 1,600 members in the United States and overseas including representatives from NATO countries. Within the U.S., members come from the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, Department of State, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Security Agency, General Accounting Office--virtually every Federal agency that deals with classification--and from the civilian contractors who work with these agencies. As the Society has grown over the years, its focus has also expanded. NCMS now provides professional development for its members in the field of classification management, information security, personnel security, computer security, operations security (OPSEC), facility security, and technology security.

National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is part of a premier association representing all facets of the defense and technology industrial base and serving all military services. Formed by the merger of the American Defense Preparedness Association and the National Security Industrial Association, NDIA has been at the forefront of defense technology and policy since 1919.  NDIA provides legal and ethical forums for interchange between government and industry; promotes essential national security policies and programs in public, industrial and governmental activities; provides industry advice to the government; facilitate mutual understanding and working relationships between government and industry; provides leadership in technology and education related to national defense; and support economic strength through international competitiveness.

National Homeland Defense Foundation (NHDF)

The National Homeland Defense Foundation (NHDF) is committed to promoting homeland defense partnerships and synergies among the broadest range of institutional and individual players. Foundation events and activities provide a high quality meeting environment for identifying emerging challenges and building the right solutions. The Foundation continuously identifies best practices in the homeland defense domain and supports an HLD "incubator" to identify promising R&D. Growing the next generation of leaders for the HLD effort is part of our core business concept. NHDF is committed to a dual-track approach to integrating First Responders more fully into the Homeland Coalition. First, we will include First Responders in every HLD event or activity that we sponsor - no exceptions. Second, we will promote sensible train, equip and funding strategies designed to make police, fire and emergency medical partners nationwide more capable and self-sufficient.  National security is an international enterprise and NHDF is pursuing a robust outreach program to identify governments, organizations and individuals abroad that share our objectives and values and that want to partner with us in the global war on terrorism.  Finally, NHDF is pressing the case for a Homeland Coalition™ across institutions and across the country with integrity and energy.
